Listen to St Peters on the BBC (New Every Morning 7th.

On Sunday mornings of the 7th and 14th Feb the BBC are broadcasting their 'New Every Morning' from St Peters. It is a half hour service which would normally have a reading, a short sermon, prayers and singing from a CD. However when they asked us to do it we asked if we could record some of our 'live' worship. I think that they humoured us, thinking that the recording quality would not be that good and they would not be able to use it. However they did not reckon on our very own Colin Mackay, one of whose many talents is recording. He did a superb job and as a result the worship on this recording is 'live' from St Peters. I am delighted that the BBC have allowed us to do this - and that I have been able to speak about Christ. Listen and pass on. And if you enjoy it why not write NEM and the BBC to thank them. We are quick to complain when they broadcast rubbish (of course you may think this was rubbish as well!).

I have been asked if this is our normal service. Did we do anything
different? It is not normal in that our normal service would last between
75 and 90 minutes. I recorded the sermons from a script (which the BBC had
to pre-approve) and they are only 12 minutes (normally preach 30-40
minutes). Obviously they lack the interaction of live preaching to a 'real'
congregation. The worship was recorded live on the 17th of January - the
psalms were at the morning service and the hymns and spiritual songs at our
evening fellowship. So they are reflective of what we normally do and were
not arranged specially for this. We have a number of 'readers' and Sheenagh
Macdonald (who is in this recording) is one of them. The link is below.
